The National Museum Bangkok on Na Phra That Road will be opening its doors for late evening visits between 4pm and 8pm from Friday to Sunday.
The extra opening hours are part of the “Night At The Museum Festival 2022” during which over 20 museums in Bangkok will also allow visitors on their premises after sunset.
At this museum, however, visitors are invited to dress in traditional Thai costumes and take in the charm of Thai architecture through a walk around the Front Palace, or Wang Na, a former residence of viceroys (or uparat in Thai) in the early Rattanakosin period.
Visitors can see mural paintings at the Buddhaisawan Throne Hall; archaeological artefacts and arts by craft masters of the Rattanakosin era at the Front Palace; and the livelihood of Thai children of the early Rattanakosin period at Phra Tamnak Daeng.
