Council of University Presidents of Thailand insists Uni’s Academic term on – off followed ASEAN
As Thailand needs to adapt its academic tearm to its neighbors, there is opposition from the Dean of the Faculty of Education and Education of Thailand (TDT) that may greatly affect the teaching and learning system of teachers- especially an inconsistent coaching period. Besides, adjusting so will result in excessive utilities consumption due to academic term change- which begins in a hottest reason.
Prof. Dr. Suchatchav VAR Chairman proposed that the deans should consult with the president of each university as the resolution of the DTP is only a guideline. How will each university change can be adjusted according to its factors- yet need to be carefully consider. Thailand Education Deans Council (TEDC) has prepared to oppose the open-ended period followed ASEAN and the Ministry of Education (MOET) to consider in depth one more time.
