Onsen Thailand – get yourself relax!

Thai style onsens or hot springs, can be found both naturally and man-made all over Thailand. Each onsen has their own design to attract you to bathe in the hot spring. Some onsens are in the middle of jungle, where beauty of nature makes your experiences more relaxing. Onsens can attenuate your fatigue, improve your circulatory system and can even cure some skin problems.

Fang Hot Spring, Chiang Mai

Located in Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park, Fang Hot Spring is a natural tourist attraction of more than 50 years old. It is scattered over 10 rai or 16,000 square meters. The national park has been made more naturally beautiful by using rocks to make a trail so that we can walk towards the hot spring and get closer. There are both big and small hot springs. But there is one big hot spring that blows hot steam out up to 40-50 meters high and that is what always surprise people. The national park also has rooms for the mineral spring, sauna, and hot spring for tourists.

Chae Son National Park, Lampang

Chae Son National Park has a mineral spring, full of beautiful reefs that penetrate among the hot spring. The temperature of the hot spring is high, up to 70-80 degrees Celsius. The national park has made a standardized hot spring bath for tourists.  They have hot spring baths for 3-4 people, a big room for people to have a Thai style shower, and an outdoor hot spring bath. The mineral spring that they use for tourists to bathe flows directly from the hot spring. This is 39-42 degrees Celsius which can be used to bathe. At this temperature, you can cook the eggs and the yolk, but the specialty is the texture of the egg white which will be like young coconut meat. “Mineral spring eggs salad” is one of the popular dishes here.

San Khamphaeng Hot Springs, Chiang Mai

This hot spring is in San Khamphaeng District, Chaing Mai Province. It is 34 kilometers away from the city center and is known for a long time in Chiang Mai tourism. The hot spring has a good atmosphere and surrounded by nature; mountains and many kinds of flowers. The hot springs rise from the ground to the sky, up to 15 meters. Along the trail, there is a hot stream flowing from the hot springs. The temperature ranges from very hot to warm. Tourists can put their feet in the hot springs to relax muscles and can cure Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).

Nong Haeng Hot Spring, Mae Hong Son

Nong Haeng Hot Spring is in Nong Haeng Village, Meuang Pond Sub-district, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province. It is a health tourist attraction near Highway 108, located among nature and has an adjusted modern landscape. The place has 2 medium-size hot springs which rise from the ground and people believe that skin problems can be cured in this hot spring. It is the hottest hot spring in Mae Hong Son Province that can boil eggs to cooked in less than 10 minutes. This hot spring has a free outside hot spring for feet and a pool for bathing which costs 30 Baht each. The hot spring Includes private hot spring with 6 rooms and also bathroom services.

PornRang Hot Spring, Ranong

Located in Ngo Waterfall National Park in PornRang Village, Bang Rin Sub-district, Mueang District, Ranong Province. The hot spring is crystal clear and clean. This place has adjusted the landscape. Tourists can wander around and see various plants. They have hot springs where you can put your feet and body in outdoor hot springs baths, public rest-houses, restaurants, and homestays. PornRang Hot Spring is good for those who want to bathe in a hot spring close to nature, either a daytrip or an overnight stay and is only 10 kilometers away from the city center.
